- 0.5 cups rice
- 120g pork
- Sesame oil
- 150g kimuchi
- One egg
- Salt and pepper
- Garlic chute
- Mayonnaise
- Cheese
- White sesame seeds
Introduction
Unlike regular fried rice, kimchi fried rice generally uses kimchi to add spiciness and sesame oil. This is similar to a dish called "kimchibokkeumbap" in Korea. However, Korean ones often add sausage. Also, a fried egg on top makes it more Korean. I have tried to make something Korean style, but my own way is much easier and the ingredients are often the ones I have at home.
When I started living on my own, I asked my mother what to do about my kimchi that was nearing its expiration date. Then, my mom said it would be better to fry them because they would turn sour closer to the expiration date. Also, my mother recommended kimchi fried rice to me. My mom said it was so easy even I could probably make it. So, I tried to make it and eat. It was very delicious! So, I still often make this.
Procedures
1.First, cook 0.5 cups of the rice.
2.Also, cut the pork into 4 cm pieces.
3.Next, turn on the fire and pour a round of the sesame oil into the frying pan.
4.When the frying pan warms up, fry the pork.
5.When the pork changes color, add to the kimchi and fry.
6.Then, add to cooked the rice and fry until well mixed.
7.Next, crack the egg into the bowl and beat it.
8.When the eggs are well beaten, add to beaten the egg and fry.
9.Then, season with the salt and pepper, the garlic and the mayonnaise.
10.When taste is adjusted, turn off the heat.
11.After turn off the heat, add to the cheese.
12.Finally, arrange on a plate and sprinkle with the white sesame seeds.
Conclusion
Now in this cold season, it's a good idea to eat spicy food to warm up your body! However, there is no need to make this very spicy. So, you will be good adjust the spiciness by the amount of kimchi you add. Also, you will be good adjust the flavor with other seasonings too. For example, if you add more mayonnaise it will taste even milder. Also, you could mix in more cheese.
